CSL0503 Cell Bench
Purpose
- A cell bench historically used in Police Stations and Magistrates Courts.
- Bench top is constructed from either 45mm thick Iroko hardwood battens or from Corian solid surface material bonded to plywood sheet to give a finished thickness of 38mm.
- Underside of bench top is protected from heat generated by the heating pipes with a layer of 6mm thick heat resisting fibreboard.
- Supporting steel underframe is constructed from 80mm x 60mm x 6 rolled steel angles and 3mm thick mild steel pressed panels, fully rebated all around to prevent passage of contraband.
- The two hinged panels allowing access to the heating pipes are held firmly shut by two security fixings.
- Timber bench top, two coats of water borne varnish.
- Corian in white. Other colours available at additional cost.
- Steelwork has one coat factory applied high build zinc phosphate primer.
- Ash or Maple battens can be supplied.
- Corian supplied from a range of standard colours.
- Bench can be supplied any length.
- 500mm wide bench for use in Magistrates Courts.
- Fixed steel front without perforations for installations without heating.
